This policy describes the personal Home Assistant/Nest integration operated for the Jarvis household and this public information website.
Google data access and uses
The integration accesses only Nest devices and permissions authorised through Google's consent process. Data may include device names and identifiers, status, camera events, live video and available event images or clips. It uses this data to provide camera viewing, device information and event notifications in the owner's private Home Assistant installation.
Credentials and storage
Home Assistant retains the credentials needed to maintain the authorised Google connection in its private configuration. Device history, events, diagnostic logs and locally retained media may be stored according to the installation's settings and backups. Credentials, device identifiers and camera content are not embedded in or served by these public pages.
Sharing and service providers
The integration communicates with Google to provide Nest functionality. Google processes account and device data under its own privacy policy. Access within Home Assistant is intended for the owner and authorised household users. At the owner's request, authorised troubleshooting tools may process selected diagnostic information, such as device status and error messages.
This integration does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or publicly distribute camera feeds through this website.
Retention and removal
Retention depends on the owner's Home Assistant history, media, log and backup settings. Data already stored locally or in backups must be removed separately when no longer needed. Recordings retained by Google are managed through the applicable Google/Nest account and recording settings; removing this integration does not automatically erase those recordings.
Revoke access
The owner can revoke the app's access in Google Account connections and remove the Nest integration from Home Assistant. This stops future authorised access. Existing local history, media and backups require separate removal under the owner's control.
This information website
These static pages do not receive Google credentials or camera data, set application tracking cookies or run analytics scripts. Cloudflare hosts the pages and may process visitor IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the website under its privacy policy.
